Trichinellosis

Trichinosis (trichinosis, trichinellosis) is a zoonotic parasitic disease caused by Trichinella spiralis. It is prevalent among mammals. People are infected by eating raw or semi-cooked pork containing Trichinella cysts. . The main clinical manifestations are gastrointestinal symptoms, fever, myalgia, edema, and blood eosinophilia.
