Boric acid can be quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, serous cavity, and damaged skin, so it can be taken orally. Or local application and poisoning. Symptoms of poisoning are usually gastrointestinal symptoms and dermatitis. Infants and young children are prone to boric acid poisoning. The lethal dose of oral boric acid in children is generally 5-6g. There have been infants who died of oral boric acid 1g.
