Alveolar lavage fluid shows large amounts of amorphous debris
In patients with alveolar proteinosis, fibrobronchoscopy biopsy and pathological examination showed that the alveolar cavity was filled with coarse PAS-positive particulate matter. Alveolar lavage fluid showed a large number of amorphous debris, often accompanied by PAS-staining macrophages.
