Ear eczema
Ear eczema refers to eczema that occurs in the ear canal, the outer ear canal, and the folds behind the ear. More common in infants and young children. Both seborrheic dermatitis and atopic dermatitis can be manifested as ear eczema. External ear canal eczema can be caused by otitis media or ear cuts. The infection bacteria are mostly Staphylococcus or Streptococcus. Nickel-plated spectacle frames and earrings can also cause ear eczema.
