Cardiogenic cirrhosis
Cardiogenic cirrhosis is caused by repeated episodes of chronic congestive heart failure. Long-term congestion and hypoxia have resulted in the proliferation of reticular fibrous tissue in the liver, mainly star-shaped fibrosis in the center of the liver lobules. Fibrous tissue divides the liver lobes into irregular cell clusters, that is, pseudolobules.
