Congenital syphilis
Syphilis is a systemic infectious disease caused by treponema pallidum. Can be divided into two kinds of congenital and acquired syphilis. Congenital syphilis is also called prenatal syphilis. The pathogen infects the fetus through the placenta in the mother's body, which can cause stillbirth and premature birth. The risk of syphilis pregnancy is 2.5 times higher than that of normal pregnant women. The perinatal mortality rate of pregnancy with syphilis is as high as 50%.
