Mental disorders associated with hypothyroidism

Hypothyroidism is a systemic disease caused by insufficient or lacking thyroid hormone. Mental disorders are a common sign of hypothyroidism. Depending on the age of onset, it is generally divided into three types clinically: Cretinism (staying sick), Juvenile myxedema, hypothyroidism in adults.
