Idiopathic macular anterior membrane

Idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane (IMEM) is an age-related proliferative disease, which is manifested by secondary changes caused by the formation of the macular preretinal membrane and its contraction. Most patients are asymptomatic, and a few have slowly progressing visual impairment.
