Sickle cell

Sickle cell (sickle cell): shaped like a sickle. This is due to the presence of abnormal hemoglobin S in red blood cells, which is easily formed by the human body under hypoxia. Therefore, the examination of sickle-shaped red blood cells requires the blood to be made into a wet slice, and then a reducing agent such as sodium metabisulfite is added.
