Bacterial CAMP test

The Bacterial CAMP test is based on the fact that group B streptococci can produce CAMP factors, which can promote the lysis of red blood cells by B-hemolysin of staphylococci. Therefore, the hemolysis is increased at the junction of the two bacteria (group B streptococcus and staphylococcus). The test was performed on the principle of a sagittal (half moon) hemolytic zone.
