Precipitation reaction

Immunoprecipitation is mainly used for qualitative detection of antigens or antibodies. The principle refers to the phenomenon of visible precipitation formed by soluble antigen and corresponding antibodies in the presence of an electrolyte in an appropriate ratio. The precipitation experiments designed based on this phenomenon mainly include flocculent precipitation tests, ring-shaped precipitation tests and precipitation tests in gels. The precipitation test in the gel can be further divided into immunodiffusion experiments and immunoelectrophoresis techniques according to the experimental methods used.
