The pulmonary epithelial cell permeability (LEP) assay is used to understand the permeability of alveolar epithelial cells and capillary endothelium. Adapted to the study of pulmonary capillary membrane function. When the alveolar epithelium is damaged, the clearance curve is a biphasic exponential curve, and the clearance time is accelerated.
