Urine N'-methylnicotinamide

Vitamin PP is also known as anti-dermatitis vitamin. It includes two compounds, nicotinic acid (nicotinic acid, nicotinic acid) and nicotinamide (nicotinamide, nicotinamide). They play a physiological role in the body in the form of coenzyme NAD + (Coenzyme I) or NAP + (Coenzyme II). Normal humans do not contain niacin but only trace amounts of nicotinamide. The main excretion in urine is the metabolites of nicotinamide: N-methylnicotinamide and N-methyl-2-pyridone-5-amide. Measuring the excretion of N-methylnicotinamide in urine can understand the nutritional status of nicotinic acid and nicotinamide in the body.
