Erythrocyte sedimentation rate
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) refers to the rate of red blood cell sedimentation under certain conditions, referred to as blood sedimentation. ESR values in healthy people fluctuate within a narrow range. The erythrocyte sedimentation rate increases significantly in many pathological conditions. Red blood cell sedimentation is the result of the interaction of many factors.
