Plasma fluoride

The normal adult body contains 2.6g of fluorine. Absorbs fluorine from the intestine. Most are excreted by urine and feces, and 10% to 48% of the fluorine reservoirs are mainly concentrated in the bones. Bone fluorine reaches a constant value by about 15 years of age. The right amount of fluorine is necessary to form hard teeth and prevent dental caries. Deficiency in childhood is susceptible to dental caries. The lack of fluoride in the elderly can affect the use of calcium and phosphorus, making bones brittle. However, too much fluoride intake can also cause fluorosis, fluorosis and endemic fluorosis.
