SST receptor imaging

SST receptor imaging is a commonly used imaging agent labeled 111In or 99mTc octreotide. Tumor SST receptor imaging is highly sensitive to many neuroendocrine and non-neuroendocrine tumors, and is currently the preferred method for preoperative localization of tumors such as gastrinoma, insulinoma, and glucagonoma. SST receptor imaging is not only used for tumor localization diagnosis, staging and prognosis evaluation, but also has important value in tumor-guided surgery and octreotide treatment efficacy evaluation.
