Plasma proline peptidase

Proline peptidase (PLD) or proline peptidase is an imino peptidase widely present in various tissues and cells of the human body. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of C-terminal proline or hydroxyproline 2 peptides. Proline recycling plays an important role in collagen synthesis and cell growth. Changes in blood levels are closely related to liver damage and chronic liver disease.
