Tubular skin flap (dermal tube) transplantation

A tubular flap is a double-pedicled flap that is rolled inwardly into a tube. The length and width ratio is generally 3: 1. Because it has no wound at all, it is also called a closed flap. This kind of skin flap can be transferred to a distant part, which expands the application range of skin flap transplantation. The disadvantage is that there are many operations and it takes a long time. With the advent of free flaps, the use of skin tubes has been greatly reduced. When it is determined that the defect cannot be repaired with a flat skin flap, and free skin flap transplantation is not suitable, a skin tube can be used for repair. Then design the length, width, location and transfer method of the leather tube. According to the site of the skin tube, it is divided into abdominal skin tube, thoraco-abdominal skin tube, shoulder-thorax skin tube, upper arm skin tube and neck skin tube etc. [Fig. 1].
