Myopia is caused by too long anterior-posterior diameter of the eyeball and too convex front surface of the eye membrane. Excimer laser correction for myopia (LASIK / PRK) is an excimer laser precisely controlled by a computer, which etches the corneal stroma layer of the pupil area according to the degree of myopia and the presence or absence of astigmatism, making the front surface of the cornea slightly flat. Thereby, the external light can be accurately focused and imaged on the fundus retina to achieve the purpose of correcting myopia.
