Open drainage

Open drainage is a traditional method. The advantage of this therapy is that there is no dead space caused by poor drainage, and the infected lesions can be treated at any time. Its shortcomings are: ① the patient has greater pain and a longer course of disease; ② the sternum moves and the thoracic instability affects failure or pulmonary complications; ③ the sternum, mediastinal tissue, and heart are exposed for a long time, which can easily cause heart sutures and substitutes to suffer The threat of secondary infections can often lead to major bleeding in the heart and aorta or endocarditis.
