Horsetail tumor resection

Horsetail tumors can include schwannomas, ependymal tumors, meninges, or congenital tumors (dermatoid cysts, teratomas, etc.). From the surgical point of view, it can be divided into the following two types: one is a small and isolated tumor that invades a few cauda equina nerves, such as schwannomas, small ventricular tumors, and meningiomas; the other is a larger tumor Most of the cauda equina are enclosed in tumors, such as giant ependymal tumors [Figure 1-4], dermoid cysts [Figure 1-5], etc. Sometimes the same lesions can be formed by chronic inflammatory granulomas.
