Cerebrospinal fluid lactic acid

An examination of cerebrospinal fluid. Lactic acid (LA) is a test for cerebrospinal fluid. Increases are seen in cerebral ischemia, hypoxia, craniocerebral injury, cranial hypertension syndrome, convulsions, intracranial hemorrhage, brain abscess, multiple sclerosis, bacterial meningitis, tuberculous meningitis, etc. Viral meningitis does not increase.
