Hyperalgesia or decrease from the top of the ear line to the hairline
Occipital neuralgia is clinically manifested as acupuncture, scalpel-like, or burning-like pain in one or both of the posterior occipital regions or the nape, and physical examination shows tenderness and occipital hypertrophy at the exit of the large nerve (Fengchi Point) The nerve distribution area (C2-3) is the hyperalgesia or decrease from the top of the ear to the hairline.
