Gouty arthritis

Gouty arthritis is caused by the accumulation of urate in the joint capsule, bursa, cartilage, bone and other tissues, which causes damage and inflammatory reactions. It has genetic and family factors, and is more common in people over 40 years of age. In men, it is more common in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the thumb, but can also occur in other large joints, especially the ankle and foot joints. Mainly manifested as severe joint pain, often sudden unilateral. The tissues around the joints have obvious swelling, fever, redness and tenderness. A blood uric acid test can confirm the diagnosis. Drug treatment has a good effect.
