Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is an acute liver inflammation caused by infection with the hepatitis A virus (HAV). It is mainly transmitted through the fecal-oral route. It is more common in children and adolescents. It is one of the common intestinal infectious diseases in China. Hepatitis has the highest incidence and infection rate. The source of hepatitis A infection is usually acute patients and subclinical infections. Patients are most contagious from the end of incubation to 10 days after the onset of infection. Fecal-oral route is the main route of transmission. Daily contact is the main route of transmission of sporadic cases.
