Dislocation or subluxation of the lens

The crystal is connected to the ciliary body by a suspensory ligament and is suspended in aqueous humor. Suspended ligament rupture due to trauma or surgery, incomplete development of congenital suspensory ligament, or dissolution of suspensory ligament due to intraocular lesions can cause the lens to change position.
