Appendix abscess

Appendiceal abscess is due to the lack of timely diagnosis and treatment of acute appendicitis, causing the appendix to be wrapped into an inflammatory mass by omental adhesions, followed by appendix gangrene, perforation, and limited peritonitis to form an appendic abscess.
