Refractory anemia

Refractory anemia, which mostly occurs in elderly patients over 50 years of age, is clinically dominated by anemia, reduced reticulocytes, and mostly reduced neutrophils and platelets in peripheral blood. Primitive cells in peripheral blood are rare, not exceeding 1%. Bone marrow cell hyperplasia is normal or hyperplastic, red cell hyperplasia is more obvious, annular iron granulocytes are rare, and red blood cell morphology is more common. Granulocytes and megakaryocytes also have some morphological abnormalities, but they are usually lighter. Bone marrow blasts do not exceed 5%.
