Myxedema
Myxedema, also known as true myxedema, is a deficiency of thyroid hormone caused by thyroid insufficiency and waxy edema on the face. More common in patients with hyperthyroidism due to excessive thyroidectomy or radiotherapy. Often accompanied by other endocrine diseases.
