Decreased urine specific gravity
Urine specific gravity measurement is used to estimate the concentration function of the kidney, but the accuracy is poor and many factors are affected. The measured values are for reference only. Reduced urine specific gravity is seen in diabetes insipidus and chronic nephritis.
