Peri-umbilical purulent discharge

It is caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, or hemolytic streptococcus infection due to improper handling of the umbilical cord or after birth. When the infection is severe, the secretions of the umbilical cord will increase, and if the infection is not controlled in time, it will develop into sepsis, which will cause the patient's life danger.
