Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura

Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is the most common bleeding disorder in children. It is characterized by spontaneous bleeding, thrombocytopenia, prolonged bleeding time, and poor blood clot contraction. The disease is a bleeding disorder associated with an immune response. The disease can be divided into acute type and chronic type according to the course of the patient within 6 months or more. The two types are different in the age of onset, etiology, pathogenesis and prognosis.
