Increased aldosterone secretion

Hyperaldosteronism (referred to as aldosterone) is hypertension and hypokalemia syndrome caused by excessive secretion of aldosterone from the adrenal cortex. Conn first pointed out that adrenocortical adenomas secreted excessive aldosterone in 1955 as the cause of the disease, so it was also called Conn syndrome. This disease accounts for 1 to 2% of hospitalized hypertension cases and is a secondary hypertension that can be cured. But if the course is too long, long-term hypertension and severe hypokalemia can also cause serious harm. Increased aldosterone secretion is divided into primary and secondary. Proaldone is caused by excessive secretion of aldosterone by adrenal pathology, and secondary hyperaldosteronism is caused by excessive aldosterone secreted by adrenal glands due to diseases other than adrenal glands, such as cirrhosis, congestive heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, Renal hypertension.
