Taoser sign positive

Trousseau sign is also called Taoser sign. It can be tied with a tourniquet or sphygmomanometer to the forearm to inflate to 20mmHg above systolic blood pressure for 3 minutes. It can also be used to compress the veins of the upper arm by hand to reduce the blood supply to the hand and trigger wrist spasm. Positives may be alkalosis, hypomagnesemia, hypokalemia, or hyperkalemia.
