Familial mixed hyperlipidemia

Familial combined hyperlipidemia (FCH) is an independent condition first recognized in 1973. This type of dyslipidemia is most common in people under 60 with coronary heart disease. Other studies have shown that FCH is the most common type of dyslipidemia in patients with unexplained ischemic stroke over the age of 40 years.
