Fasciitis

Fasciitis, also known as fibrositis, can only be regarded as a comprehensive concept, which has been rarely used in recent years. Fibrositis means that some patients with low back pain have small nodules on the surface of the iliac spine muscle or the attachment of the iliac muscle, with pain and tenderness, and sometimes they can also be found on the hips. Gower formally applied the term in 1904. He believed that the disease was a non-specific inflammation of tissues, but it could not be confirmed pathologically. The nodules involved in clinical practice are essentially a limited fat nodule, so it is also called fatty hernia. Such nodules may stimulate peripheral nerve endings and cause local muscle spasms and pain. This nodule is closed with 1% procaine and pain is relieved.
