Congenital cataract

Part or all of the crystals that occur in the first year after birth are called congenital cataracts. Congenital cataract is a common eye disease that seriously affects the visual development of infants and young children. Due to the complex etiology, congenital cataracts have great differences in morphology, turbidity, degree of turbidity, and age of onset. There are many types of this disease with different causes. To confirm the diagnosis, sometimes necessary laboratory tests are performed. Because degenerative amblyopia can occur in the early stage of congenital cataract, its treatment is different from that of ordinary adult cataract.
