Hypothyroidism (hypothyroidism for short) is a disease caused by decreased metabolism of the body due to reduced thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion, or insufficient physiological effects. According to its cause, it is divided into three types: primary hypothyroidism, secondary hypothyroidism and peripheral hypothyroidism.
