Vascular dementia

Vascular dementia (VD) is one of the clinical types of mental disorders caused by vascular diseases, and it is also a type of clinical outcome of cerebrovascular diseases. Cerebrovascular dementia or vascular dementia (vascular dementia, VD) refers to the comprehensive decline of intelligence caused by cerebrovascular diseases caused by cerebral blood supply disorders. It is caused by cerebrovascular diseases, and dementia with dementia as the main clinical manifestation. Onset usually occurs at the age of 50 to 60 years old, and about half of them are complicated by essential hypertension, with intelligent stepwise deterioration as the main cause. Cerebrovascular dementia is more common in patients with repeated minor strokes, and the condition gradually worsens with the onset of minor strokes. Intellectual decline does not progress progressively, but develops in a stepwise manner. After a minor stroke recovers, the intelligence recovers to a certain degree and the condition is stable; however, after a minor stroke, the attack worsens and develops intermittently, and finally dementia occurs.
