Electric shock

Electrical injury (electrical) is commonly known as electric shock, usually refers to the tissue damage and dysfunction caused by direct contact with the human body and power or high-voltage electricity through the air or other conductive media to pass current through the human body. In severe cases, heartbeat and respiratory arrest. High voltages in excess of 1000V (volts) can also cause burns. Lightning damage (lightning strike) belongs to the category of high voltage electrical damage.
