Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis, OA) is also known as osteoarthropathy, degenerative joint disease and osteogenesis, which is one of the most common joint diseases. The disease not only causes articular cartilage damage, but also affects the entire joint, including subchondral bone, ligaments, joint capsule, synovium, and muscles around the joint. Eventually cartilage degeneration, fibrosis, rupture, ulcers, and damage to the entire articular surface occur. Typical clinical manifestations include pain, stiffness, and joint deformation.
