Chronic appendicitis

Chronic appendicitis refers to chronic inflammation of the appendix after the acute inflammation of the appendix subsides, such as fibrous connective tissue hyperplasia, narrowing or occlusion of the lumen, distortion of the appendix, and adhesion to surrounding tissues.
