Ureteral injury

Due to the small diameter of the ureter and its flexibility, and the good protection of back muscles and retroperitoneal fat and bone structure, ureteral injury is the rarest urogenital injury. Most of the ureteral injuries were iatrogenic injuries, accounting for about 82%, and the rest were extrinsic injuries. Penetrating injuries account for approximately 90% of extrinsic injuries and blunt injuries account for approximately 10%.
