Ultraviolet injuries of the eye are electrical injuries. It comes from natural light, such as welding arc light, mercury vapor arc light and tungsten solitary light. The biological effect of ultraviolet light is a photoelectric biochemical reaction. The earliest is protein denaturation, followed by protein coagulation.
