Tibial plateau fracture

Fracture of tibial plateau is one of the most common fractures in knee trauma. The tibia condyle fracture can be caused by the impact of the knee joint with varus / valgus violence, or compression violence caused by a fall. Since the tibial plateau fracture is a typical intra-articular fracture, its treatment and prognosis will have a great impact on knee function. At the same time, tibial plateau fractures are often accompanied by damage to articular cartilage, knee ligaments, or meniscus. Missing diagnosis and treatment may cause knee joint deformities, lines of force, or stability problems, resulting in joint function disorders. Therefore, the diagnosis and management of tibial plateau fractures is an important issue in knee trauma surgery.
