Orbital neurofibroma

Neurofibromas are also a benign tumor of the peripheral nerves. They differ from schwannomas in that, in addition to the proliferation of nerve sheath cells in the pathological tissue, there is also a proliferation of neurofibroblasts. The clinical manifestations are also more diversified than schwannoma. Orbital neurofibromas can be divided into 4 types according to symptoms and signs and histopathological changes: solitary or localized type, plexiform type, diffuse type, and postoperative neuroma. Orbital neurofibromatosis [1] is divided into the first three types that can appear alone in the orbit, but can also be used as part of neurofibromatosis. The latter type represents a large number of overgrown peripheral nerves, but the orbit is extremely rare. Orbital plexiform neurofibromatosis with neurofibromatosis
