Striatum nigra degeneration

Striatonigral degeneration (SND) was first reported by Adams et al in 1961. The author reported in 1961 and 1964 three patients with extrapyramidal damage, autonomic nervous failure, and cerebellar ataxia. The symptoms of autonomic nervous failure were milder than those of Shy-Drager syndrome. Pathological changes, but prenatal cerebellar ataxia symptoms were not as severe as in OPCA patients. This disease is a neurological degenerative disease and is classified as a multisystem atrophy.
