Lateral dystocia

Horizontal dystocia means that the fetus is in an abnormal fetal position during childbirth, which can easily cause dystocia. Transverselie is a type of miscarriage. The longitudinal axis of the carcass and the longitudinal axis of the mother body intersect at right angles or perpendicular; sometimes the longitudinal axis of the carcass is not completely perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the mother body and forms an acute angle or oblique position, which is called oblique position. The carcass lies horizontally above the entrance of the pelvis, with the exposed part as the shoulder, the fetal head on one side of the mother body, and the buttocks on the other side, which may be temporary, and finally turned into the vertical or horizontal position. The horizontal birth shoulder is located at the entrance of the pelvis, and the fetal head and hips are concave on one side. Therefore, the shoulder first exposed is also called shoulder first exposed. The anterior and posterior forces of the fetal scapula and the fetal head are located on the left and right sides of the maternal body, which are called left anterior shoulder, left posterior or right shoulder anterior, and right shoulder posterior. Full-term transverse labor can not give birth by vagina, which is a great threat to the lives of mothers and children. Early diagnosis and early treatment should be performed. Selective cesarean section can be performed.
