Femoral artery injury

The femoral artery starts from the external iliac artery and begins below the midpoint of the groin and extends to the iliac artery at the inferior adductor fissure; in the process, the deep femoral artery is divided into the lateral femoral artery and the medial femoral artery and the perforating artery. In addition to puncture wounds during wartime, usually the femoral (superficial) artery is caused by sharp puncture wounds or other sharp devices during femoral shaft fractures. It can also cause damage to the femoral artery and femoral vein at the same time, causing arteriovenous fistulas; puncture The injury caused the femoral artery wall to partially rupture, and a pseudo aneurysm or secondary thrombosis may form at a later stage.
