Duodenal injury
Duodenal injury is a serious internal abdominal injury, which accounts for about 3 to 5% of abdominal internal organ injuries. The duodenum is adjacent to the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and large blood vessels. Therefore, duodenal injury is often accompanied by one or more organ damage.
